Street Poets performs at schools, youth justice & peace conferences and juvenile detention facilities throughout Los Angeles County and beyond. The group’s original poetry performance is a riveting and soulful celebration of the transformational power of the written word. Since their first show at the Los Angeles Theater Center in 1998, Street Poets has performed hundreds of times for thousands of audiences from downtown Los Angeles all the way to Europe and Africa. The performance is generally followed by a facilitated discussion and Q&A with the audience.
